Lovely Walkway in Santa Fe - Guess Where?

“The purpose of the Guild shall be to support the Santa Fe Opera and to promote interest in opera.”

A Word from the President

Dear Members,

After a year of anticipation, the Santa Fe Opera Festival has begun. From the welcoming Opening Night Dinner hosted by Guilds Inc. to the opening performance of La traviata, the season is off to a wonderful start. Thank you to Shelly Brock and the Opening Night Committee for their dedication and hard work, which guaranteed that the evening would be a success.

We do not plan events during the Opera season so our volunteers and Board can enjoy their evenings at the Opera. Our next member event is the Annual Meeting on Tuesday, August 27. We will announce the venue and the time of the event in the August Operagram.

Vivace will meet on September 24 from 2:00-3:30 pm (MDT) at the main branch of the Santa Fe Library on the corner of Marcy and Washington Streets in downtown Santa Fe. We will meet in the Community Room on the second floor of the Library. The novella is The Turn of the Screw by Henry James, and the facilitator is Dr. Bernadette Snider.

A special word of thanks to our many members who are working as docents, Preview Dinner volunteers, gift shop workers, ushers, and Youth Nights chaperones this summer. Your dedication to the Santa Fe Opera makes an impression on every visitor you encounter on the Opera campus. You are all amazing!

Warm Regards,

Bernadette Snider
